Easy Make-Ahead Punch
This recipe begins with a combination of both frozen lemonade and unsweetened pineapple or pineapple/orange juice, lemon gelatin, hot water, and sugar.
First, mix the lemonade and pineapple juice together in a freezable gallon-size container. Next, place water, sugar, and gelatin in a large saucepan and boil for 3 minutes then cool to room temperature.
Add the gelatin mixture to the lemonade and pineapple juice; stir until well blended. Place in the freezer for at least 8 hours or until the mixture is extremely thick and slushy.
Thick and Slushy Punch Concentrate
Remove the container of Sushy Lemonade Pineapple Party Punch from the freezer a few hours before you want to serve the punch.
When the thawing punch reaches a thick slushy stage, (times will vary according to how hot and humid your room environment is at the time), divide the mixture between two gallon-size punch bowls.
Add 1/2 gallon of shaved or finely crushed ice to each container and blend well. (Note: You can use a shaved ice machine to make shaved ice easily. However, I personally use a Ninja blender to make finely crushed ice. It works extremely well too.) The punch should look similar to the photo above.
Add Lemon-Lime Soda
Next, divide chilled lemon-lime soda between the two bowls of punch. Please note that the soda makes the punch frothy at first but once it’s well blended or sits for a while most of the froth eventually dissipates.
Delicious Punch
Now your Slushy Lemonade Pineapple Party Punch is ready so grab a punch ladle (or two) and pretty punch cups and start serving it up to your guests.
Optional Garnish
If you want to enhance the overall appearance of the punch, simply garnish each serving with a mint sprig and lemon wedge before serving.

Notes
One full recipe yields approximately 3 gallons. (NOTE: Amounts may vary depending on how much shaved or crushed ice you use. The more used, the thicker and slushier the punch will be. However, remember, eventually the ice thaws and will water down the punch so be sure to serve it immediately after adding the ice and soda.)
