First, let’s talk about ingredients. To make Easy Pear Lime Jell-O Salad you’ll need the following:
Ingredients
- Either two 3 ounce boxes of Lime Jello-O OR one 6 ounce box of Lime Jello-O
- 15 ounce canned pears, (and their juice)
- 8-ounce carton whipped topping
- Water – 2 cups hot water and 3/4 cup cold
Start by pouring the lime Jell-O mix into a clean glass mixing bowl. Add 2 cups hot water and stir for 2 minutes or until gelatin is completely dissolved.
Next, open the can of pears. Using a colander drain the pears and be sure to reserve the juice. Add 3/4 cup cold water and the pear juice (should be around 3/4 cup of juice) to the gelatin mixture and stir well.
Chop the pears into bite-sized segments and carefully stir them into the gelatin. Refrigerate until the gelatin is fully set.
When the gelating is completely set, use a large spoon to stir the gelatin. Stir until the gelatin is in small clumps. Next, stir in the whipped topping and serve. Refrigerate leftovers. Keeps well up to 2 days.
NOTE: You can make Easy Pear Lime Jell-O Salad the night before, however, it’s best when it’s served fresh.
