To begin, place apple, bacon, onion, and sausage into a skillet and cook until the bacon and sausage are browned and the onion and apples are soft.

Caraway seeds provide a licorice-like flavor and used in many dishes such as goulash, stews, cheese dip, baked apples, rye bread, and in cabbage dishes such as Gluten-Free Crockpot Sausage Sauerkraut.

Place Bavarian-style Sauerkraut, caraway seeds, and brown sugar into a crockpot.

Add the meat and apple mixture to the crockpot and cook on a low setting for 3 hours. Serve hot. Simple, huh?
