This homemade salsa is extremely simple to make and provides the flexibility to tailor the recipe to your taste preferences. For example, you can swap red, green, or yellow peppers for jalapenos and use parsley instead of cilantro. You can also incorporate other vegetables like corn into the mix.

Ingredients For Easy Homemade Salsa:
- 8 cups fresh diced tomatoes
- 1-1/4 cups diced onion
- 1/2 cup diced jalapeno (or to taste) OR green peppers
- 3 cloves garlic, diced
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup vinegar
- salt and pepper to taste
- chopped cilantro or parsley (to taste)
- Place all ingredients (except cilantro/parsley) into a pan. Simmer on low heat until most of the juice has evaporated. Cool. Add chopped cilantro or parsley and serve. Refrigerate leftovers.
