Green Egg Grilled Asparagus is a must-try this spring!
With asparagus in season, my grandma’s garden is producing asparagus so quickly we can hardly eat all of it!
We decided to try grilling it this year, and now it is so good we can’t stop eating it!

First, you need to wash the asparagus and trim the bottoms — if they are hard.
Next, drizzle them in olive oil and (optional) sprinkle with garlic salt.
Use a grilling veggie tray or make one out of aluminum foil. Grill at 350° F, indirect heat. Grill for about 15-20 minutes, or until they are as tender as you like.
Lastly, and the best part, cover with mozzarella and parmesan cheese!
Now you can make these allergy-friendly quite easily! My mom doesn’t tolerate garlic, so we skipped that. It still tasted amazing! If you can’t have dairy, skip the cheese!
Really, it is the grilled flavor that makes this asparagus so amazing!
I remember as a child I hated asparagus! But my parents forced me to eat it because it was a vegetable and it was healthy! Now, I am always shocked when my children are willing to eat their asparagus and ask for more! I definitely think it is the grilled asparagus (and maybe the cheese) that gets them to eat their vegetables! My kids do not always jump to eat their vegetables, and if your kids are anything like mine then be sure to read How to Get Your Kids to Eat Their Vegetables.
