Lasagna Soup Ingredients
- 1 pound ground meat (I like to mix sausage with beef or venison)
- 1 jar of your favorite spaghetti sauce (or use homemade)
- 4 cups chicken broth or stock
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream (half-and-half also works)
- Lasagna noodles (use gluten-free if needed)
- Italian Seasoning
- Grated Parmesan cheese
- Shredded Mozzarella cheese
- Fresh Basil
- Optional: diced onion, diced bell pepper, sliced mushrooms
Directions
- In a large stock pot, brown the meat. If adding extra vegetables, sauté them in the meat drippings. Drain the extra grease.
- Add the spaghetti sauce, chicken broth, and cream. Break the lasagna noodles into bite-size pieces and add them to the soup.
- Cook for about 10 minutes or until the noodles are soft. Stir in the seasonings and top with cheese.
