Now, as a huge fan of coffee, I try every coffee-related recipe I can get my hands on! Some recipes are a success, and some are a failure. This gingerbread latte is a success if I have ever seen one. And it’s so, so easy that anyone could make it!
Gingerbread latte Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp cloves
- vanilla extract – measure with your heart
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup coffee
- 1/2 cup milk
Directions:
Make the gingerbread simple syrup:
- stir together the brown sugar, granulated sugar, cinnamon, cloves, vanilla, and water in a small saucepan. Turn the stove on medium heat and stir, using a sauce whisk, until the mixture starts to boil.
- Reduce to low heat and simmer for 5-10 minutes while stirring constantly.
- Remove from heat and let cool.
- Pour the syrup into a jar and put a lid on it. Store in the fridge.
Make the latte:
- Pour about a tablespoon of your simple syrup into a mug. Add your coffee and milk.
- To make the frothed milk, put about a tablespoon of milk into a cup or bowl. You can either use a milk frother or put it in a mason jar with a lid and shake it for 30-50 seconds. Pour or scoop foam on top of the latte. Serve hot or iced. Enjoy!
