One of my family’s favorite meals is Cajun pasta, but I’m always trying new versions and twists on my recipes. This one-pot creamy Cajun pasta and sausage is a twist on this popular Cajun shrimp Alfredo recipe.

Ingredients
- 1 onion, diced
- Minced garlic
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 teaspoons Paprika
- Cajun seasoning, to taste (some Cajun seasonings are spicy, so taste it before adding too much. I used about 3 tablespoons).
- 1 box (12 ounces) of your favorite pasta
- 4 cups chicken broth
- 1 cup half-and-half or heavy cream
- 4 ounces cream cheese, room temperature
- 13 ounces Kielbasa sausage, sliced (we like beef or turkey)
- 8 ounces broccoli, cooked (I like to use the frozen bags because it’s easier, but fresh works too)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Directions
- Add the onion, garlic, butter, paprika, and Cajun seasoning to a soup pot. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until the onion is cooked.
- Add the chicken broth to the pot and bring to a boil. Once the broth is boiling add the noodles and cook until the noodles are al dente. If the broth reduces too much to cover the noodles, slowly add the half-and-half or heavy cream, or add it once the noodles are finished cooking.
- About 2 minutes before the noodles are done, cube the cream cheese and stir it into the pasta. Stir until it is melted and creamy.
- Add the Kielbasa and the broccoli.
